Mr. Marquis devotes most if his time to real estate, employment law and general business consultation. His years of experience in the field of commercial litigation have given him a unique insight into the field of "lawsuit avoidance."
Mr. Marquis has been a practicing attorney in Nevada since 1975, and has achieved an "av" rating from Martindale-Hubbell. He has had the privilege of participating in a number of high profile cases including a verbal abuse case against entertainer Redd Foxx; a precedent setting case where the Nevada Supreme Court ruled a shopping center anchor tenant liable for the decrease in the value of the center after it moved out and breached a covenant of continuous use; and the successful defense of actor Martin Sheen. Mr. Marquis has been inducted into the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
Mr. Marquis has two grown sons. He and his wife, Joanie, enjoy flying their TBM 700 and spending time with their horses at Kingston Ranch in Sandy Valley. Mr. Marquis has published a book, Frivolous Cowboy Poetry, and he is happy to recite a poem or two on request (or without a request for that matter).
